Emma: 11 months

This has been a great month for Little Miss Emma.  She is having a great time pulling up on everything and trying to figure things out.  She also seems to really enjoy those two teeth that she has.  She has started eating some new foods.  Emma has tried crackers, spaghetti, and a few other things.

Uncle JD came to visit for the weekend and Emma had a great time showing off her new skills with him.  She also had her nine month checkup and the doctor said she looks great!

We were out to dinner with some friends celebrating a friend’s birthday.  One of our friends was holding another little girl and feeding her crackers.  Emma checked out the whole situation and decided she was pretty jealous that she wasn’t being held.  I decided to use her jealousy as a motivation.  I took a cracker and gave it to her.  She ate the whole thing while staring at our friend as if to say, “I eat crackers too…hold me!”

We ended up having an unexpected day off to spend at home together when the incessant rains led to some flooding in the Acworth area.  Emma’s school was closed for 3 1/2 days.   She seemed to enjoy being home and getting to nap in her own bed.  However, when her school finally reopened, she was so excited to see everyone!

Emma had a chance to go to her first concert this month.  We took her to see Third Day on the Glory Revealed Tour at the Verizon Amphitheater.  She had a great time!  We spent that morning at Fall Festival at North Cobb Christian and she really laughed when the kids dunked me in the dunk tank.  She slept great after a day at Fall Festival and an evening at the concert.  What a trooper!

This month marked a few more milestones in Emma’s journey to her first birthday.  She is trying all kinds of new things.  We decided to put our coffee table in the basement to free up some extra room in the living room.  She is having a blast being able to crawl and pull up all over the place downstairs.

We are so thankful that God chose to bless us with Emma.  Clint and I never could have imagined how wonderful it would be to watch her grow up.  She just takes our breath away with how precious she is.  We are so blessed to be her parents.  I am posting some pictures below to show you how much Emma has grown!
