Emma: 13 months

Emma turned 13 months old on December 15.  You can tell by the pictures that she is starting to wonder if she will ever be able to get her GA Tech bear out of her photos.  I think he is starting to crowd her a bit as Emma is growing into her personality.

This past month has been a blast.  Emma seems to really be enjoying all of the excitement of Thanksgiving and Christmas this year.  We have had a ton of family and friends over for different things and she thinks that all of the attention is for her…wait..it is!  Emma is walking all over the house, as long as she has something to hold on to.  She is standing on her own and even transferring from thing to thing pretty smoothly.  Before we know it..I’m sure she will be running.  Her favorite activity is climbing up the stairs.  When she gets to the top, she crawls as fast as she can to our bathroom and tries to turn on the bath water.  She is seriously devoted to cleanliness!

Emma also gave up baby food this past month.  We are blessed that she seems to like all kinds of foods.  She and I shared some spaghetti one night when Clint was out of town.  I will have to start fixing two bowls…she ate more than her half!  She also really loves bananas, crackers, green beans, rice, chicken, mandarin oranges, bread, turkey, grilled cheese, french fries and macaroni and cheese.  As you can tell from the list, we aren’t really doing the whole organic thing.  She is a good eater and we are having a blast watching her try new things.

Emma is also still doing really well in school.  We are really pleased with the program we chose for her.  Her teachers are all very caring and she comes home most days with some sort of craft.  No matter what…she always seems to have had a great day and is excited to come home and play.  This month of Thanksgiving and Christmas break has provided Clint and I with many hours to just play with Emma.  We could definitely get used to this schedule!

Here are just a few pictures to give you an idea of what the little lady has been up to this past month.  Thank you Emma for being our precious little treasure!
