Homecoming at Georgia Tech

Our family has a fun tradition of taking Emma to at least one Georgia Tech home football game per year.  This year, we decided to head to Homecoming at Tech on November 2.  They were playing Pitt at home and we decided to make a day of it.  We headed down early afternoon in order to visit the bookstore and make sure we had all the Georgia Tech swag that we need.  It’s always fun to go there because one of the rowing boats that Clint competed in is hanging in the middle of the store.  Emma can never figure out how he got in the boat hanging on the ceiling…too hilarious!

We wandered around campus and saw some awesome tailgates.  On the road leading to the stadium, we played a lot of games and won some cool prizes.  We also visited the Tech Crew Alumni picnic for a few minutes.  Once it started to cool off a little, we walked over to the Varsity to grab an early dinner with several thousand other people.  The Varsity is a lot of fun…but it’s a blast on Gameday!  We walked back over to the stadium to find our seats.  We were two rows from the field on the 40 yard line and super close to all the action!

Georgia Tech played well all game and beat Pitt pretty soundly.  The highlight of the night was definitely when our family was on the JumboTron!  Emma was cheering her little heart out and the camera man picked her up.  I just happened to have my phone handy and snapped a quick pic.  Lots of friends were at the game and saw us too.  What a fun memory!  We had a lot of fun continuing our Tech football tradition.  Go Jackets!
