Today was a beautiful day here in Dallas, GA.\u00a0 Clint and I went to church this morning and enjoyed worshipping with the “Children of the World”.\u00a0 They are kids who have been helped by the organization World Help.\u00a0 Brian talked a lot this morning about what West Ridge is doing to go out into the world.\u00a0 He talked about the upcoming mission trips and ways that we can be involved.\u00a0\u00a0 After church, we hit our favorite spot…Moe’s.\u00a0 Some of the kids at school think I own part of Moe’s because I eat there all the time.\u00a0 I’m not sure what it is…but Moo Moo Mr. Cow just brings a smile to my face!\u00a0 Then, we headed off to see the new movie…The Kingdom.\u00a0 It was good!\u00a0 Fast paced.\u00a0 Lots of scenes that show what we are up against in the Middle East.\u00a0 Also a good reminder to pray for my brother Kevin and the rest of our troops on the ground in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the rest of the Middle East.\u00a0 We are fighting a war that will never be won this side of heaven.\u00a0 However, I believe strongly in what they are doing and am excited that my brother is part of our effort to help the people in harm’s way.<\/p>\n

We spent the afternoon here at home.\u00a0 Lori stopped by to visit for a couple hours and then headed home to TN.\u00a0 Then, some of Clint’s family stopped by for a little while.\u00a0 It was a relaxing afternoon.\u00a0 I worked on my lesson plans for a little while on the front porch and then I grilled hamburgers and we threw the football in the yard until it got too dark to see.<\/p>\n

\"Living<\/a><\/p>\n

After that, I came in to finish up my Bible study for small group tomorrow night. \u00a0 We are finishing up week 2 of “Living Passionately for Christ” by Cas Monaco.\u00a0 It is a study of the book of Philippians.\u00a0 I am really enjoying it so far.<\/p>\n

As I was studying, I had iTunes playing some songs from Taylor Grocery Band.\u00a0 They are a band that my brother started listening to in college.\u00a0 I really like their sound.\u00a0 One of their songs really hit me tonight.\u00a0 It is pretty simple theology, but there is a lot of truth to the words.<\/p>\n
