This has been a really big month for Emma. \u00a0She has started doing so many cool things and she is such a blast to hang out with! \u00a0The day after Emma turned 9 months old, she decided it was time to start crawling and hasn’t stopped since! \u00a0She crawls really fast and is quite the explorer. \u00a0After a couple of days of crawling, Emma decided that it was time to stand up and pull up on everything.<\/p>\n

This month Emma also got her first two teeth. \u00a0They have been trying to come in for a while and she woke up one morning and one had broken through and then the other one a few days later. \u00a0She seems a little confused by the teeth and keeps running her tongue over them. \u00a0Hopefully some more will break through soon and then she can start eating Moe’s, pizza, and everything else she has been staring longingly at!<\/p>\n

We also had a bit of a scare this month. \u00a0About a week ago, Emma woke up during the night with a really high fever and a high pitched barking cough. \u00a0We haven’t had that yet, so we took her to the emergency room since it seemed that she might be having trouble breathing. \u00a0They were super nice at the Pediatric ER at Kennestone and we were in and out and on our way home within about an hour and a half. \u00a0I guess it helps to go at 1:30am! \u00a0Emma had croup. \u00a0They gave her a steroid and some instructions for us to help her be more comfortable. \u00a0We laid low at home for a few days and she was back in action in no time.<\/p>\n

Emma went to the doctor the other day for her 9 month checkup and we were told that she is in the 95th percentile for both height and weight. \u00a0She is growing like a champ and has the funniest sense of humor. \u00a0The other night I was putting Emma to bed and she was standing up in her crib while I was putting some of her stuff away. \u00a0I told her that it was time to lay down so that she could go to sleep. \u00a0She laughed and shook her head no. \u00a0I am sure that the baby books would tell me I should correct her, but instead I decided to join her and laugh hysterically. \u00a0After that, for the next few minutes, she shook her head and I laughed. \u00a0We had a blast!<\/p>\n
