Powell and Dr. Chap Clark 12 years old, but it continues to be one of the most valuable parenting resources that I&#8217;ve run across.  I appreciate the fact that it&#8217;s not all that up to date as it relates to social media and technology since it&#8217;s several years old&#8230;but demonstrates that the principles don&#8217;t really change, the methods do.  This book is a great read about what it takes to intentionally disciple your kids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I highlighted several things while reading and have posted those notes below&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Defining Sticky Faith:<ul><li>Sticky Faith is both internal and external.<\/li><li>Sticky Faith is both personal and communal.<\/li><li>Sticky Faith is both mature and maturing. p. 22<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>The core of Sticky Faith is developing a clear and honest understanding of both the gospel and biblical faith.&nbsp; As our kids are led into an awareness of their significant role in the kingdom of God demonstrated throughout Scripture, they will have the best chance of discovering a faith that is compelling and life-giving. p. 32<\/li><li>Spiritual disciplines do not make us righteous because we do them, but rather they put us in a position to be drawn intro trusting Christ more fully. p. 35<\/li><li>Your goal is to train your kid to see life as a whole, connected adventure, versus a frantic race from one expectation and agenda to another. p. 65<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sticky Faith by Dr. Kara E.
