Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, \u201cI am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.\u201d (John 8:12). If we are in Christ, His light is in us (Matthew 5:14-16). This world is a mess, that\u2019s no secret\u2026in fact, everything after Genesis 3 is simply broken and won\u2019t ever be right until Jesus returns. But, until then\u2026Jesus has called Christ followers to be \u201cthe light of the world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is there something different about our lives? Is there a hope that seems out of the ordinary? Is there a peace that passes all understanding? Are we caring for others in a way that points to a different purpose?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lest I miss the point, the light isn\u2019t to be a spotlight on me. I\u2019m behind the light to illuminate Christ alone\u2026to point to Him. \u201clet your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.\u201d (Matthew 5:16)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

God is working. He is faithful. Go light the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
