This book was a great read as it gave a solid reminder that the Lord may have put us in a position of financial werewithal simply to be the catalyst for someone else to be able to share the gospel.  Fascinating stories behind folks like William Wilberforce, John Newton, and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I highlighted several things while reading and have posted those notes below&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The titans of philanthropy will be remembered for giving to good causes; Gospel Patrons will be remembered for giving to eternal ones. Where philanthropists aim to nourish people\u2019s bodies and train their minds, Gospel Patrons prioritize people\u2019s souls. Gospel Patrons treat symptoms, but ultimately they go after the disease. p. 24<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Whether we run a company, lead a department, or answer the phone, our mission is the same: to advance the message that Jesus saves people who are lost in sin. p. 25<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gospel Patron: Someone who is invested and involved in another person\u2019s ministry to help proclaim the gospel.\u00a0 p. 33<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jesus, His love, His life, His word, His death, these are the things that compelled the Gospel Patrons of history to live and give as generously and sacrificially as they did. They saw Jesus for who He really is and were gripped with Him. He was their supreme passion, their main business, their chief concern. p. 134-135<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>C.S.
