Happy 2nd Birthday Emma Kathryn Strange!<\/p>\n

You are an amazing little girl. \u00a0You are independent, adventurous, hilarious, contemplative, sweet, affectionate, kind, thoughtful, loving, curious, sweet, determined, and growing up more and more every day. \u00a0Last night Daddy and I were talking about how fast you have grown up. \u00a0These past two years have flown by, but I can assure you that we have enjoyed every minute of it.<\/p>\n

In the last few months we have enjoyed watching your little personality blossom. \u00a0These days you are big into doing things your way! \u00a0You love to get things out and then put them all away. \u00a0These days you love to do what Mommy and Daddy are doing. \u00a0The past two nights when I have been cooking dinner, you have gone to the cabinet to pull out a pot and asked me for a spoon so that you can \u201ccook\u201d with me. \u00a0You are also getting very good at saying your numbers and singing the \u201cABC\u2019s\u201d. \u00a0In fact, you love to dance while you sing the ABC song\u2026and it is hilarious! \u00a0You also love being read to. \u00a0We have read some of your books so many times that you are now reading them to Mommy and Daddy because you have memorized them!<\/p>\n

You are getting to be very tall and each day it is becoming easier and easier to tell that you aren\u2019t a baby anymore. \u00a0You are growing up to be such a pretty little girl. \u00a0One of my favorite things that you do is when you look at us out of the corner of your eye just to make sure we are watching whatever cute or silly thing you are doing. \u00a0You love an audience and love to make people laugh. \u00a0You also love to look at pictures and videos on Mommy and Daddy\u2019s iPhones. \u00a0You have been able to use our phones since you were very little and it is a blast to watch you figure out technology. \u00a0The only thing that seems to be confusing to you is the fact that our computers aren\u2019t touch screen since you have gotten to be so familiar with our iPhones and my iPad.<\/p>\n

Yesterday we had the privilege of having you dedicated at Cedarcrest Church. \u00a0We joined Cedarcrest back in May and you love going there. \u00a0Every time we pull up at the high school that Cedarcrest meets at, you yell out \u201cchurch\u201d. \u00a0It is very important to Mommy and Daddy that you know that Jesus loves you and wants you to love Him. \u00a0Your teachers at church want you to learn about Jesus and they do that with Bible stories, fun songs, and neat craft projects. \u00a0One of your favorite things about church is getting to ride in the \u201cBye, Bye, Buggy\u201d through the halls of the church. \u00a0We dedicated you yesterday to commit before God and the church that we will do everything we can to raise you in a way that will point you to Jesus. \u00a0Cedarcrest Church also promised to support us in that endeavor.<\/p>\n

Mommy and Daddy love to watch you play with other kids. \u00a0You love Ryan, Jackson, Kyle, and Lauren from your class at preschool. \u00a0Dana, Sam, Aaleyah, Luke, Kate, Landon, Anhalise, and Ella are some of your best friends from NCCS. \u00a0I can\u2019t wait until y\u2019all are all classmates! \u00a0It is very important to us that you have great friends that are going to encourage you and be people that you can trust to help you grow in your walk with Christ.<\/p>\n

I am sure that this next year will be a busy one as you discover new things. \u00a0Mommy and Daddy are trying to do a good job of keeping up with all of your adventures by taking pictures and writing blog posts. \u00a0If there are holes in the record keeping, please know that it is just because it is so much more fun just sitting back and watching you live life. \u00a0You are a joy and further confirmation to us that God loves us so much. \u00a0We continue to pray for the day that you make Jesus your Savior. \u00a0That is our one greatest desire for you\u2026that you will know Him and make Him known. \u00a0We believe that God intends for your life to count for Him.<\/p>\n
