It has been a while since I posted a bunch of Emma pictures. \u00a0She is such an amazing little girl. \u00a0She is growing up so fast! \u00a0We just returned from being in Memphis for the weekend thanks to my Winter Break from school. \u00a0We had a great time and are so grateful that both of our families are so involved in Emma’s life.<\/p>\n

Lately, Emma’s biggest curiosities have centered around “What is that?” and “What are you doing?” \u00a0Emma is an inquisitive little girl and wants to do everything all by herself. \u00a0I think that she has convinced herself that 2 years old is the time that a person should be completely independent! \u00a0We moved Emma into her new room in January and she loves having a big bed and a “big girl room”. \u00a0Emma is really into music and books these days. \u00a0She loves to clap with the music and she runs around the house singing at the top of her lungs most of the time. \u00a0She cracks us up as she can repeat a song over and over without ever getting bored.<\/p>\n

Emma loves to hold things, open things, pick up things, and put things away all by herself. \u00a0Emma has no fear and no limits. \u00a0I’m sure this will lead to some interesting adventures in the years to come! \u00a0Emma loves to play outside and is getting better at riding her little tricycle. \u00a0She really wants to ride it down the big hill in our backyard, but we are trying to stick to the flat surfaces for the time being. \u00a0When it snowed in January, she wanted to sled down all the hills and “go fast”. \u00a0We had a huge snowstorm in January and ended up being at home for the entire week…it was pretty cool!<\/p>\n

My mom came down for MLK Weekend to help us with Emma’s room and we had a great visit! \u00a0Mom had been sick over Christmas, so it was great for her to have a chance to catch up with Emma. \u00a0They read lots of books and played with all the dress up clothes! \u00a0After we dropped Mom back off at the airport, we decided to take Emma for her first visit to The Varsity in Atlanta and she loved it. \u00a0It was crazy to think that just a few years back, Clint was going to school at Georgia Tech and walking over to The Varsity to eat occasionally…never realizing that he would one day be there with his wife and sweet little girl. \u00a0It was fun to reminisce!<\/p>\n

One of the coolest things that happened this month was the Chick Fil-A Daddy\/Daughter Date Night the weekend before Valentine’s Day. \u00a0Clint put on his suit and Emma and I bought her a new dress for their big night out. \u00a0Clint bought Emma some roses and made sure she knew that she was his special princess for the evening and always. \u00a0They had a great time and it is such a blessing to see what a close relationship they have! \u00a0A week later, Clint took Emma and I both out to dinner at The Old Mill in Acworth for Valentine’s dinner. \u00a0Afterwards, we headed over to Menchie’s for frozen yogurt. \u00a0It was a great family date!<\/p>\n

We are incredibly blessed to watch Emma learn and try new things. \u00a0She is growing taller and loves to run fast. \u00a0She has a hilarious sense of humor and loves to laugh. \u00a0The only times she gets upset is when she can’t figure something out by herself. \u00a0It is really cool to watch her try and figure things out. \u00a0As the weather starts to turn towards spring, I am looking forward to a lot of outside adventures together with our little explorer!<\/p>\n
