Today’s Reading: Psalm 22:6-8 <\/strong><\/p>\n

“But I am a worm and not a man. \u00a0I am scorned and despised by all! \u00a0Everyone who sees me mocks me. \u00a0They sneer and shake their heads, saying, “Is this the one who relies on the Lord? \u00a0Then let the Lord save him! \u00a0If the Lord loves him so much, let the Lord rescue him!”<\/p>\n

“God must bring us to a point\u2014I cannot tell you how it will be, but he will do it\u2014where, through a deep and dark experience, our natural power is touched and fundamentally weakened, so that we no longer dare trust ourselves. He has had to deal with some of us very strangely, and take us through difficult and painful ways, in order to get us there. . . . But then at last it is that he can begin to use us. . . .
