Have you heard the names Martin Luther, St. Augustine, John Wesley, John Newton, William Tyndale?\u00a0 They are all pivotal people in the history of the Christian church.\u00a0 You can read about them On This Day in Christian History<\/a> by Robert J. Morgan.\u00a0 The book is laid out to be read one day at a time.\u00a0 The book is set up well to be used as a personal devotional as there is a Scripture passage for each day as well as a story about a figure from Christian history.\u00a0 I firmly believe that it is critical for Christians to have a clear handle on the history of the church in order to have a clear understanding of our own spiritual heritage.\u00a0 I have not read this book cover to cover.\u00a0 However, I have often picked it up to read for a few days here or there and always walked away enlightened because of something new I found out about the church that Christ loves and that I am called to serve.\u00a0 Pick up a copy here<\/a> and check out one of the best collections of Christian history.<\/p>\n
