{"id":5640,"date":"2012-06-30T20:40:03","date_gmt":"2012-07-01T01:40:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/meganstrange.com\/?p=5640"},"modified":"2012-07-09T19:18:34","modified_gmt":"2012-07-10T00:18:34","slug":"book-review-rebooting-my-brain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/meganstrange.com\/?p=5640","title":{"rendered":"Book Review: Rebooting My Brain"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/meganstrange.com\/?attachment_id=5641\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5641\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5641\" title=\"book-cover\" src=\"https:\/\/meganstrange.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/book-cover.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"258\" height=\"344\" srcset=\"https:\/\/meganstrange.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/book-cover.gif 258w, https:\/\/meganstrange.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/book-cover-225x300.gif 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 258px) 100vw, 258px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not really sure what led me to read, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0984893903\/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=wwwmeganstran-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=0984893903\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Rebooting My Brain<\/em><\/a> by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rebootingmybrain.com\/about-maria\/\" target=\"_blank\">Maria Ross<\/a>, but I am really glad I did!\u00a0 I picked this book up on Amazon when it was free for Kindle a few weeks ago.\u00a0 Maria writes about her experiences as a 35 year old year old woman who suffered a devastating brain aneurysm in the midst of an otherwise normal life that was quite easy to identify with.\u00a0 Her vivid account of what she has learned from this entire ordeal is a great eye-opener for someone like me that allows too many things to take priority when they really shouldn&#8217;t.<\/p>\n<p>I chose to read this book without highlighting anything.\u00a0 I enjoyed the opportunity to fully engage Maria&#8217;s story.\u00a0 She did a great job recounting her entire ordeal and shared very openly about how the writing was a part of the healing process for her and her husband.\u00a0 Maria strikes me as the type of person that I&#8217;d really enjoy grabbing lunch with.\u00a0 Perhaps someday!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #999999;\"><em>Disclosure of Material Connection: Some of the links in the post above are \u201caffiliate links.\u201d This means if you click on the link and purchase the item, I will receive an affiliate commission.
