As all of the months preceding have also been…June was a blast!\u00a0 We had a great time with Emma getting to do some very fun things.\u00a0 We started the month by hosting a garage sale and Emma loved it!\u00a0 She was very helpful in organizing all of our stuff.\u00a0 After the garage sale, we headed up to Summerville to spend the afternoon with Clint’s mom and stepdad.\u00a0 Emma loves Granna and Poppy!<\/p>\n

The next week was a busy one for the Strange Crew.\u00a0 It was Cedarcrest VBS (at NCCS) and Emma’s first week of Camp Eagle.\u00a0 Emma was at school from 7am-9pm just about every day that week…but she loved every second of it!\u00a0 She is always easy going, but that week was super crazy.\u00a0 VBS was awesome and it finished up Thursday night.\u00a0 Emma loved her first week of camp and she is making some very sweet friends.\u00a0 Camp Eagle has a ton of activities and Emma loves her sweet teachers.\u00a0 After camp that Friday, we all came home and crashed very early!<\/p>\n

On Saturday, June 16th, we loaded up and headed to San Francisco for a week.\u00a0 Clint’s new job is based out of San Fran and we tagged along since I was starting my break from school.\u00a0 We spent Saturday and Sunday touring the city and doing lots of fun things.\u00a0 During the weekdays, Emma and I dropped Clint off at work and went exploring.\u00a0 Our two favorite spots were Apple and Stanford University.\u00a0 She and I took the red-eye back on Wednesday night and she slept like a rock on the plane.\u00a0 She was a real trooper with all of our travelling, late nights, and skipped naps.<\/p>\n

We came home for a few days before our next adventure.\u00a0 We spent our home days on the lake, at Moe’s and Menchie’s, and the pool.\u00a0 Emma has decided she doesn’t need her floaties anymore.\u00a0 She took them off and jumped right in to Clint.\u00a0 She is pretty good at kicking her legs and moving her arms.\u00a0 We are going to do swim lessons, but it is great to see how well she is doing on her own.\u00a0 She is still a bit nervous in the water…but that certainly doesn’t slow her down from running and jumping into the pool!\u00a0 She also started jumping off the boat into the lake…with her lifejacket of course!<\/p>\n

The last week of June was fun as we drove to Nashville to meet up with my sweet sister Katie.\u00a0 Katie and her awesome husband JD offered to keep Emma for a few days so that Clint and I could go out of town for a few days.\u00a0 Emma was so pumped about “Camp Katie” and she ended up loving every second of it.\u00a0 I’m so grateful for an awesome sister and bro-in-law that were willing to take such great care of our sweet girl.\u00a0 June was a busy month, but a lot of fun!<\/p>\n

The most awesome highlight of the month?\u00a0 I’m glad you asked!\u00a0 Emma has memorized her first Bible verse.\u00a0 The theme verse for NCCS for the 12-13 school year is Psalm 86:11.\u00a0 I’ve been working on it with Emma in 2 and 3 word sections for several days.\u00a0 While we were in San Francisco, we would work on it in the car.\u00a0 One day, she just giggled and then said the whole thing…”Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may walk in your truth.” Psalm 86:11.\u00a0 Pretty awesome first verse to learn!\u00a0 I pray that will be true for her.\u00a0 My second favorite highlight is that Emma can now spell her entire name, first, middle, and last with no trouble.\u00a0 Aunt Katie worked with her a lot on this.\u00a0 Oh yeah…she also started writing her name.\u00a0 Lots of firsts this month…lots to celebrate!<\/p>\n
