This book is extremely practical and encouraging.\u00a0 I am so grateful for God&#8217;s gift of marriage.\u00a0 I have never understood more about the love of God than I have these past 9 1\/2 years being married to my awesome husband Clint.\u00a0 Clint loves and serves me so well that I am able to have a much greater appreciation for the gospel.\u00a0 This book is a quick read, but it has a lot of wisdom packed in.<\/p>\n<p>I highlighted a few things while reading and have pasted those below&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The paradox of faith\u2014in giving your life to Christ, you find a greater life. In giving your marriage to Christ, you discover a greater marriage.<\/li>\n<li>The Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 1:12, \u201c\u2026for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>It is when our spouses are fully accepted, that they can be free to change by God\u2019s grace and purely out of Christlike love!<\/li>\n<li>If you want that great marriage God promises, you must commit yourself to unity through openness.<\/li>\n<li>Learning to give in to God and to submit ourselves to His laws, His commands, and His guidelines is critical to having His joy in our hearts.<\/li>\n<li>Joyce Rogers, the wife of the late Dr. Adrian Rogers wrote, \u201cTo prove submission is a wonderful concept, Jesus became the ultimate illustration of its validity. Although He was coequal and coeternal with the Father, He was completely submissive to the Father\u2019s will.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>As you personally become more and more like the new nature of Christ, your love for each other will continue to grow stronger and brighter with each passing day.<\/li>\n<li>Weak marriages are made up of scorekeepers.
