year I had the privilege of serving as a leader for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chickfilaleaderacademy.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Chick-fil-A Leader Academy<\/a> with our student government at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncchristian.org\" target=\"_blank\">North Cobb Christian School<\/a>. \u00a0CFA Leader Academy is a new partnership between Chick-fil-A and <a href=\"http:\/\/addo.is\/\" target=\"_blank\">Addo<\/a>. \u00a0We had a great time this year walking through their servant leadership curriculum and are excited to jump back in next year! \u00a0As a thank you to the leaders, we were all sent a certificate, a nice letter, and the book <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Remarkable-Randy-Ross\/dp\/0988218402\/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1433161648&amp;sr=8-2&amp;keywords=Remarkable\" target=\"_blank\">Remarkable!<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>by Randy Ross and David Salyers. \u00a0This book is a quick read&#8230;a leadership parable full of tips and thoughts to help any organization grow and thrive. \u00a0I read the book last weekend and highlighted several things while reading. \u00a0I&#8217;ve posted those notes below&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><!--?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\" standalone=\"no\"?--><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>A clutch situation is any encounter that requires the engagement of two or more people to create progress.<\/li>\n<li>A compelling culture is created when people&#8230;<br \/>\nBELIEVE in the best IN each other<br \/>\nWANT the best FOR each other<br \/>\nEXPECT the best FROM each other<\/li>\n<li>Pay grade speaks to the kind of value that you <i>extract from<\/i> the organization. \u00a0Value grade speaks to the kind of value that you <i>create for<\/i> the organization.<\/li>\n<li>Whether you see the clutch situation as a hardship or an opportunity for growth all depends upon your perspective. \u00a0It\u2019s a matter of choice.<\/li>\n<li>Candid evaluation launches us on a journey to seek truth. \u00a0However, the extent to which we find truth is directly proportionate to our openness and willingness to receive it.<\/li>\n<li>Valucentricity is the energy and momentum that can be produced when values are properly aligned.<\/li>\n<li>Axiology is the study of values and value formation and how they impact our thought processes, decision-making, and performance.<\/li>\n<li>How we view things will drive how we do things.<\/li>\n<li>On purpose means you live purposefully, with a purpose, and for a purpose.<\/li>\n<li>The Maxim of Creativity: We are designed to create value in life.<\/li>\n<li>Advertising is the tax you pay for being unremarkable. \u00a0Word of mouth is always the most powerful way for your message to be broadcast.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cIf you love what you do, you will never work another day in your life.\u201d \u00a0Truett Cathy, Founder of Superior Choice?<\/li>\n<li>The only real competitive advantage any organization has is the culture that it fosters. \u00a0Culture is really nothing more than the composite of the values, thoughts, and behaviors of the individuals who comprise any organization.<\/li>\n<li>A company\u2019s culture is its greatest competitive advantage, and will either multiply a company\u2019s efforts, or divide both its performance and its people.<\/li>\n<li>The impact of culture in any organization cannot be overstated. \u00a0The culture is the single most important factor in the success of any organization
