As many of you know, I absolutely LOVE to read! \u00a0I love the way that books give us a chance to learn from people that we would otherwise never have the opportunity to learn from. \u00a0Most of what I read is nonfiction in the categories of spiritual development, leadership, decision-making, organization, and history. \u00a0This past year was a busy one with a ton of awesome things going on in our family as well as in my ministry at school and in our church. \u00a02015 was a year unlike anything I could have ever predicted…or even thought to have chosen. \u00a0God stretched me and the community that I “do life” with in ways that has consumed our thoughts and conversations like never before.<\/p>\n

I read 41 books over the course of the year and reviewed them all on this website. \u00a0I’ve included all of the links below in hopes that you might choose to pick up some of these books and enjoy them as much as I did! \u00a0My favorite book of the year was Russell Moore’s Onward<\/em><\/a> followed closely by David Platt’s Counter Culture<\/em><\/a>. \u00a0Both of those books really dig into Scripture and how we should think Christianly about the issues in our culture and act in a way that is loving, truthful, and graceful in a time where we have an incredible opportunity to live out the gospel for the glory of God and the good of others. \u00a0In my top three was Lysa Terkeurst’s <\/a>The Best Yes<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>because of the way that I have been able to realign my thinking about what I should be saying yes to…and what I am saying no to when I say yes to something else. \u00a0Fortunately some of my closest friends read this one too…so we just all tell each other no about everything now and can all have a good chuck about it!<\/p>\n
