The God Who is There

God is not an unknown God or a God who is unapproachable. He is not the wizard behind the curtain. That was a popular view in Athens, which was the heart of thinking and reasoning in ancient days. This passage in Acts 17 tells us first who God is…and then when you read on…that He wants to be in fellowship with us.

Acts 17:26-28

And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us, for “‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said,
“‘For we are indeed his offspring.’

No matter what we choose to believe about God on this earth, we will stand before Him one day. May those who call themselves Christ followers live in such a way that would draw others to want to know more about Him.
