Hidden Treasure

Today I got up excited about doing my quiet time.  I had already decided when to do it.  I was going to take a shower and then go down and eat breakfast and read while I was eating.  Of course, I got downstairs and fixed my cereal and realized my One Year Bible was upstairs.  Then I decided to use Clint’s that I had seen on his desk yesterday.  Of course, it wasn’t there.  He probably took it upstairs!

I took my cereal upstairs and sat on the edge of the tub balancing my cereal and my Bible to do my quiet time.  I’m so glad I did!!

Proverbs 2

1 My son, if you accept my words
and store up my commands within you, 2 turning your ear to wisdom
and applying your heart to understanding,

3 and if you call out for insight
and cry aloud for understanding,

4 and if you look for it as for silver
and search for it as for hidden treasure,

5 then you will understand the fear of the LORD
and find the knowledge of God.

Nobody ever outgrows Scripture; the Book widens and deepens with our years.
Charles Haddon Spurgeon
