I am in Dallas, TX for a couple of days at the Student Leadership Institute at Prestonwood Christian Academy. I’m excited to have a chance to hear a little more about this program. We are hoping to start some new leadership opportunities for our students next year at NCCS. I’ve heard a lot of great things about SLI. Jay Strack, Larry Taylor, and Glen Schulz are three of the big names behind it and you can usually count on those guys to come up with some pretty solid stuff.
While I’m here, I’m hoping to catch up with some college friends serving in other ministries around the country. It is always fun to hear what everyone is up to. Two of my friends are on staff at Prestonwood Baptist Church and a few others are serving other places in Texas.
Tonight has been a really good time just working on some projects here in the hotel. I’ll hit the trail early in the morning. I am hoping to visit 2 other Christian schools to find out what they are doing for chapel, small groups, outreach, etc.
I’ll be back at NCCS on Wednesday. I am enjoying my trip so far, but nothing beats being back at home with my own crew!
