We have had a blast this Thanksgiving holiday just enjoying our daughter and having some family and friends around for a chance to hang out. My Mom came down on Tuesday and left this afternoon. She has been such a tremendous blessing to us since Emma arrived. She was here for a few days when Emma was born and then went home for about a week and then came back this week. I always knew she was a great mom, but I think she may be an even better Mimi (grandmother)!
She watched Emma Friday and Saturday for a few hours so Clint and I could do some shopping. She even did all the bottles during the night on Thursday night so we could sleep all night! After that, I told her she didn’t need to give us anything for Christmas. That was an amazing gift!
She also offered to watch Emma this morning so Clint and I could go to church together. I have really missed Freedom Church these past 2 weeks, so I really appreciated her offering. We had a great time at church and I’ll post a little bit more about that separately.
Thanks Mom! You have set a terrific example for me of what a Mom is supposed to be and I am so thankful for the way that you have blessed us these past few weeks by being here to help us get off to a good start with our baby girl. We really appreciate all that you have done and can’t wait to see you in Memphis for Christmas!
