I have always been incredibly intrigued by the White House as well as the history of everything regarding the President of the United States.  I’ve been to Washington, DC a few times and would love to go back sometime soon.  I feel like I could go back to DC every year and only scratch the surface of all that there is to study and learn.  A friend of mine read The Residence by Kate Andersen Brower and thought I might enjoy it.  I had a great time reading the book and was able to finish it easily in just a few hours.  The Residence has lots of great stories from the staff of the White House about their experiences, their relationships with the First Families, as well as their unique perspective on world events in the past few decades.  As a history buff, this book was so interesting and helped connect some dots for me in regards to what was really going on behind the scenes.  Read the book and then go visit the White House!
