Emma: 9 Months

It is hard to believe that Emma is 9 months old today!  I think that has been our sentiment as each month has passed by, but it truly is amazing to see all of the cool things Emma is up to these days.  This has been a big month.  She is all over the place.  All Emma has to do is decide she wants to get somewhere and she just makes it happen.  It is not always pretty to watch, but she puts together a combination of rolling, sliding, and crawling and it is hilarious!

This month she switched to a big girl carseat and she seems to be enjoying that so far.  We have also spent a few days at the pool and hung out with a lot of friends as we have tried to squeeze all the fun that we can out of the summer.  We also had a great time celebrating Clint’s birthday at the end of July.

Emma loves to touch things and pick things up.  She is very enamored these days by dangly earrings and necklaces.  She also likes to touch people’s faces.  She still seems happy being passed around to different people, but she is starting to get to the stage where she looks to see where Mommy and Daddy are if someone else is holding her.

One thing that cracked us up was the way we found her sleeping one night.  We came in to check on her before we went to bed and found her lying on her back with her feet spread completely apart resting on the bumper pads in her crib.  It was a perfect split and she was sound asleep.  I guess that is why we call her our little monkey.  She is quite flexible!

Still no teeth yet, but she is digging for them.  We’ll see what happens this month.  She loves all of the kinds of baby food, but she is definitely ready for some real food.  We can’t wait to take her to Moe’s and get her a burrito of her own.  It’ll be no time I’m sure!

Here are some pictures from the past month.  Clint and I are so thankful that God chose to bless us with such a precious daughter!
