Boat Box suggestions

Our family loves being out on the water and we have decided that tomorrow, Sunday, April 3, 2011 is going to be the first day to put our boat in the water this year.  Tonight Clint is checking the charge on the batteries and fueling up the boat while I am double checking our boat boxes.  We have two rubbermaid boxes that we always take out on the boat with us.  One box holds towels, hats, and flip flops so they won’t get wet and the other box holds everything else.  Last summer was our first season as boat owners, so we just guessed on what should be in the boat box.  We always take a picnic basket with snacks and a cooler for hamburgers, Diet Mtn Dews, waters, and fruit.  We have a grill on the boat and are big fans of heading out early and staying all day long!

As I am going through the boat boxes tonight, I am curious if anyone out there has a suggestion of something we should add to our boxes.  This is what we have so far…

  • towels
  • flip flops
  • hats
  • picnic basket
  • paper towels
  • kleenex
  • clorox wipes
  • baby wipes
  • hand sanitizer
  • paper plates
  • paper cups
  • napkins
  • plastic bowls
  • plastic forks, knives, and spoons
  • trash bags
  • ziploc bags
  • sunscreen
  • flashlight
  • lighter
  • salt and pepper
  • wet box

Our goal is to use our boat to make memories with our family and friends.  We know that our day to day lives leave little time to unplug and really relax.  This boat is our attempt to savor the awesome relationships we have!

What do we still need to make sure we have the best boating time ever?
