Strange Family Adventures | January 2020

January 2 | This is a great picture of how much my man @clintstrange32 loves our family. We’ve been so excited about building a firepit for our new home so that we can enjoy evenings around the fire spending time together with our family and friends. This has been a New Year’s project for our family. We were all happy to help at 50 degrees and sunny. Today was pouring down rain and in the low forties. And our faithful husband, Dad, protector, provider, and memory maker got out there for a couple hours today to finish up the project in hopes we can use it this weekend. I’m so grateful he’s ours! And he looks extra handsome in his rain suit! #7000days

January 11 | Coffee dates @nobleandmain with my sweet girl are my favorite. Grateful for these precious moments! And for lattes on rainy days. #7000days

January 13 | Special night at The Grove @passioncity tonight with friends. It was a treat to be lead in worship by @nataliegrant and then to learn more about her story. God is faithful! #JesusIsLife#Waymaker#ChristTheSolidRock
January 18 | The @NCCSEagles 5th grade Black History Bowl team is off to a great start this morning! So proud of these kids and their hard work. They have learned so much! #GoEagles#WeAreNCCS#NCCSFamily

January 19 | CHATTANOOGA | Last week my sister texted me that they were headed to Chattanooga for the weekend and would love to see us. We almost never have our “Memphis people” so close by, so we jumped at the chance to meet up! We came up late Saturday evening just in time for dinner, swimming, and King Cake (Thanks Uncle Deedle!). Sunday morning we had a great breakfast at the hotel and then hit the Children’s Museum, Pablano’s for lunch, @clumpies for ice cream, shopping, a cool train ride, more swimming, pizza, and playoff football. Tons of laughs and lots of fun new memories made this a great weekend! Such a gift to get some family time! Headed home to Acworth with full hearts! #7000days

January 20 | “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin but by the content of their character.” -Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., I Have a Dream (August 28, 1963)
It’s not lost on me that I get to see that part of Dr. King’s dream lived out in my kitchen over a math book this evening. God is faithful. There is still SO MUCH work to be done in the area of loving our neighbors well, but these two help me keep my eyes on the prize. #7000days

January 21 | Today is the 100th day of school @NCCSEagles for our little guys. To celebrate, they have dressed up like they are 100 years old. My little guy sure will make a handsome grandpa! #NewGlasses#7000days ? @clintstrange32

January 22 | We had the best time at the @atlhawks game tonight with the @NCCSEagles Academy Singers and our Varsity Basketball players. The Academy Singers did an INCREDIBLE job with the National Anthem and the rest of us had a great time being on the court for warmups and starting lineups. My favorite part of the night was seeing Eagles alum Justin Rypel (‘15) who is living his dream working for the Hawks. Mr. ATL himself! What a great evening celebrating with our Eagles! #GoEagles#WeAreNCCS#NCCSFamily#WeAreArtists#WeAreAthletes

January 24 | I LOVE our @NCCSEagles students! They make life so much more fun and LOUD! I love the way they cheer for each other and want to see their friends succeed! #GoEagles#WeAreNCCS#NCCSFamily#EaglesForever

January was a great month! We are looking forward to all that God has in store for 2020!
