February 6 | VALENTINE CABARET @NCCSEagles is one of the best things our Academy Singers and @NCCSArts Department puts on each year. Tonight was no exception. Their selections of Love Songs from the Grammys was so good! I’m so proud of this entire group and their awesome Director @amykwallace! And how about Tripp Upton and Carson Groulx keeping the crowd entertained tonight! Big shoutout also to our NCCS Baseball and Lacrosse teams for packing the house tonight with some great fans. February 8 | My sweethearts are headed out for the @NCCSEagles Daddy Daughter Dance. This is one of their favorite traditions. Emma spends all year trying to decide what to wear, how to talk Mom into buying new shoes, dreaming up dinner plans, and mostly just enjoying precious time with her sweet Dad. I’m so grateful that my handsome husband has set a very high bar for our girl of what she should be praying for in a future husband (like when she turns 85). I hope he remembered his wallet…she suckered him into Melting Pot this year! ?? Eli and I had a fun date too! I made his favorite…poppyseed chicken. For our Valentine date, he can have as many helpings as he wants and then we are going to watch basketball together. ??#7000days
February 9 | I’m so proud of these awesome @NCCSEagles Middle School students who have learned so much preparing for the Black History Bowl these past few months. They competed in region a few weeks ago and earned the chance to compete for the championship yesterday. They worked so hard and finished as the runner up in their division. Most importantly, they built new relationships and learned more about Black History that challenged them to want to learn even more! I really appreciate @justinbreckan from @cedarcrestchurch, our own @j_the_ray from @nccsstudentlife, @elilaughlin26 from @burnthickorybaptist, @caseylinch from @nsckennesaw, and @mrdoane9 from @wildwoodbc coming to invest deeply in our hearts and minds for the sake of eternity. In essence, they hold “church” for 170+ leaders in our community once a month. Right now we are studying the life of Moses as we add more tools to our Spiritual Leadership toolbox.
