Strange Family Adventures | November 2022

November 1 TUESDAY EVENING | Got home from school in time for a great run/walk through my favorite city on a beautiful afternoon and then we grilled pizzas for dinner. Solid time at home with my Strange people. #PerfectEvening #7000days

November 3 CLUE + FOOTBALL + CFA | Only @NCCSEagle! This evening The Strange crew had a great time cheering on our @NCCSAthletics JV Football team at home, enjoyed dinner @youracworthcfas with our awesome @NCCSStudentLife Director @parkersmith314 and his wife @caitliz_ , and then laughed our way through Opening Night of @NCCSArts CLUE: High School Edition.

At our school, we work hard and we play hard. Our focus is to develop and showcase the gifts and talents God has blessed us with to use them for His glory. Well done students, directors, coaches, and our amazing faculty and staff. #GoEagles #WeAreNCCS #NCCSFamily #LiveSent

November 15 FOURTEEN | The Lord has been so gracious and kind to bless us with a daughter that loves God and loves people. Emma is so much fun to be around and we are so thankful for all the things the Lord is doing in and through her life. Some people dread the middle school years with girls, but this has been such a sweet season…not easy…but sweet watching her grow into a young lady. Clint, Eli, and I love cheering Emma on in her volleyball, tennis, basketball, and soccer games as well as with chorus, worship team, piano, and things she’s getting plugged into at church. My favorite thing about how God wired Emma is her heart for serving others and how much she enjoys helping. Just yesterday she and I were talking about a missionary she is reading about and she said she could see herself spending time on the mission field. She feels like God may be calling her to be a nurse and I can totally see it.

Philippians 4:19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Whatever God’s plans are for her…we continue to give Emma to the Lord and His best for her life. Happy Birthday Emmers! We love you dearly…you are so much fun and a joy to our family! #7000days

November 17 John 11:25-26

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

I’m so grateful that this is the kind of artwork that my 4th grader brings home from school. Grateful for so many incredible partners @nccseagles who help our kids treasure Jesus. Thank you @wcrupp, @3bares, and @wtitus!

November 24 GRATEFUL | Happy Thanksgiving! Today and always, I have so much to be grateful for. In particular, I’m thankful for the fact that…in Christ…I’ve been born again to a living hope. Without Christ, hopelessness was only the beginning of my problems. In Christ, I have all things that I could ever need in this life or the life to come. The trials of life have come and will come, but they are used to refine and shape us towards a deeper and broader understanding of God and His faithfulness towards us. Nothing is wasted.

God is faithful. He is working.

November 26 THANKSGIVING | This year we took Thanksgiving on the road and headed to the Dominican Republic for the week with my Mom and my sister and her family. We ate well, rested, played a lot, read all the books, ate even more, enjoyed the sunshine, laughed a lot, and made tons of fun new cousin memories. Grateful for these days together. The Lord has been so kind to us! We missed my brother and his family, but hope they can join for the next crazy cousin adventure! #7000days

November 29 BASKETBALL | Tonight I started my 15th year of announcing our @NCCSEagles Varsity Basketball games. It’s such a blast for me because I love cheering for our students and love watching them compete! The whole Strange family is ALL IN! Tonight, my Eli and his friend noticed that the Varsity Boys don’t have a manager, so they decided to name themselves the water boys and they were so excited to help. Our Varsity Boys are the guys my son looks up to…and I’m thrilled that he does! So much fun to cheer on our JV Boys, Varsity Girls, and Varsity Guys at home tonight. Looking forward to an awesome season! #7000days #GoEagles #WeAreNCCS #NCCSFamily
