I really enjoyed Gospel Threads by David Platt. This was based on a sermon series that he did at McLean Bible Church and it has become a great resource to use in sharing the gospel. I highlighted a few things and posted those below…

We struggle to communicate what the Bible says about God or sin or salvation. That’s why this book provides a brief explanation of five major truths, or what we’re calling “threads,” of the gospel: (1) the character of God, (2) the sinfulness of man, (3) the sufficiency of Christ, (4) the necessity of faith, and (5) the urgency of eternity. These are truths every disciple needs to know. We won’t share regularly what we don’t understand clearly. p. 3

Think of sin as our employer: we work hard for him year after year, sometimes with great excitement and sometimes with great disappointment, and yet, at the end of all our hard work, our compensation is death. p. 28
