MINNEAPOLIS | I don’t like to run, but I do like exploring new cities…so I run and take pictures. Enjoyed the opportunity to see how Minneapolis wakes up as people were out exercising, walking to work, opening up businesses, and getting ready for the day ahead. Beautiful morning full of possibilities.

CESA SYMPOSIUM 2023 | Grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow the last few days in Minneapolis at the CESA Symposium. I enjoyed time with our @nccseagles team, reconnected with friends from Christian schools all over the country, and met some new friends who share the same calling to point students to Jesus.
I appreciated @joneckert’s reminder that “no one should be more joyful than Christian school teachers and students.” What a privilege to do what we do!
Also, I won a Meat Raffle tshirt. Still a little fuzzy on how that whole thing works, but apparently it’s quite the big deal up here in Minnesota. Excellent job by Dr. Katie Wiens and the CESA Team for helping us be refreshed, renewed, and resourced in our True North.

HOMECOMING | So grateful for a precious community to walk through these seasons of life with! @NCCSEagles Homecoming Dance is tonight. Our precious NCCS Upper School Faculty and Staff surprised me with a pizza lunch for my birthday. Such a joy to have so many friends gathered in one room! The Lord has blessed me indeed!

CHAMPIONS | This was Eli’s first year ever playing football and he LOVED it! He and his @nccseagles 5/6th teammates finished their season undefeated and won the middle school championship tonight over their big rival.
Our big guy had a blast, learned a lot, broke his arm, and has grown a ton. We are so proud of these young men and their coaches. This #Brotherhood thing is pretty cool!
Bonus: His proud sister worked the game as a student trainer along with our certified athletic trainer thanks to the awesome opportunities our EXSS Academy gives our students to learn on the job!

WELCOME HOME | I don’t know if it’s possible to read this verse without tears in my eyes (reading about the prodigal son returning home…and his father running to welcome him.). I want to love my kids and my students the way this father loved his son…the way that Christ loves me.
The Lord doesn’t run or hide from us…He runs towards us to say “welcome home”…no matter what you’ve done. You are never too far to be forgiven.
God is working. He is faithful.
