MISSIONS | This handsome dude and I had the privilege of talking about missions to the awesome @northstar_kids in Zone45 this morning. We shared Mark 10:45 and Isaiah 61:1-4 pointing to the fact that Jesus came to:
1. Share good news
2. Heal Broken hearts
3. Help those in trouble
4. Bring joy to people who are sad
In short, Jesus came to put all the broken things back together. Eli and I enjoyed sharing about our experiences @timemissions as well several opportunities right here at home…like @operationchristmaschild!
Today was PJ day in the kids ministry due to the time change and this guy never misses a chance to show his Bama pride.
I’m so grateful that @nsckennesaw gives kids a chance to talk about how Jesus is changing their life. What a joy to hang out with some world changers today! Thank you @kristywebb99 and @saramai13 for the opportunity!

OPEN HANDS | A little over two years ago, we were on the brink of another mission trip to Haiti when it became clear that we were not going to be able to go safely. One of our friends recommended that we check out @timemissions in the DR as a possible mission partner. We were able to reroute our travel plans and headed to the DR in September 2021.
The Lord had remarkable things in store for that first time working together…for instance, He knew our heart for the Haitian people and graciously allowed us to build a chapel for a Haitian congregation in the DR. Since that first trip, we’ve been blessed to take friends from @nccseagles and @nsckennesaw to Time as well. We’ve got a crew from school heading back for Spring Term and a crew from church taking a family trip over Fall Break.
Tonight we had the privilege of hosting one of our favorite DR mission families in our home. Tyler, Sarai, and Caleb are in the US visiting family and friends as well as raising support for the continued ministry efforts in the DR.
As I looked around our dinner table tonight with this crew, I was struck by the depth of gospel friendships that can occur by just saying YES. Is the Lord calling you to step outside your comfort zone? How could you take a step towards living sent? We are just regular suburban people who have busy…self-centered…day to day lives. The Lord has shown us His goodness and mercy through our dear friends at TIME and we’ve been so blessed to see how God is moving!

VARSITY GIRLS BASKETBALL | Exciting afternoon cheering on our @nccseagles Varsity Girls Basketball team in their first game of the year. Things didn’t go their way, but they worked hard and never gave up. This is going to be a fun team to watch. Extra special to see our girl out there on the court. She got a quick introduction to the fact that high school basketball is a whole new game! #GoEagles #WeAreNCCS #NCCSFamily #40YearsOfNCCS #40YearsOfFamily #7000days

HAPPY BIRTHDAY | 15 seems like it got here in a hurry. What a joy our Emma is to our family! The Lord is gracious and kind to our girl as well as through our girl.
Our heart’s desire from the first time we held Emma is that she would follow Jesus wholeheartedly and love and serve others well. That continues to be our prayer today and for all of her days.
The days are busy with many things Emma enjoys, but she manages to handle those things and still be a bright light in our home, to be a daughter who brings delight, and a sister who is her brother’s hero.
We pray the Lord’s continued provision and protection for our girl as she seeks Him first and above all else.
Emma, you are a delight and we love you dearly. Happy Birthday! Have a blast in Disney on the school trip with your friends! What a fun way to celebrate! 🎉🎉 #7000days
Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

WELCOME TO UPPER SCHOOL | Such a joy to have the @nccseagles Class of 2028 over to visit today! Praying for these 8th graders and believing God has HUGE plans for each of them. We had a great time helping them learn more about the college counseling process and our Academy program. They worked on projects with Upper Schoolers, worshipped with us in Upper School chapel, enjoyed a great lunch hosted by some of our student leaders, and spent the day learning a little about all the exciting things ahead for them over the next four years.

ACWORTH TURKEY CHASE | What a beautiful day to walk/jog through our beautiful city for a great cause! @alyson.epp and I had a blast participating in the Acworth Turkey Chase to help Tackle Hunger in our community…and also to ensure that we can eat more pie this week 😂😂 So grateful for our cheering section as well! He even gave us a golf cart ride home to enjoy the fall leaves and see some of our favorite places decorated for Christmas. #WeLoveAcworth #DidNotCatchTheTurkey

Isaiah 12:4
Give thanks to the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the peoples, proclaim that his name is exalted.
