STRANGE FAMILY ADVENTURES | NOVEMBER 2024

November got off to a big start with Preview Day at school, Tsunami Club Volleyball for Emma, Middle School Basketball for Eli, and Clint and I just having a blast cheering them on!  Clint and Eli went with the basketball team to an Atlanta Hawks game while Emma and I went out to dinner with some dear friends for a girls night out…at Pablano’s.  Emma sang in our NCCS Veterans Day Program. Eli and his buddies sang in the chorus for the first worship service in the newly opened Commons at NCCS. Our family enjoyed serving together at NorthStar and participated in the Acworth Charm Tour this year on their Home Tour to support Brookwood Christian School.  One of Emma’s closest friends had her Sweet Sixteen, then Emma had hers, and we travelled to cheer on Alabama and to celebrate Thanksgiving first in Summerville and then in Germantown.  We took Emma on her first college visit to Samford and she loved it! I’ll share a few November highlights below…

November 15 |  SWEET SIXTEEN | Happy Birthday my sweet girl!

Emma is such a gift of God’s grace to me and to our family. The Lord has blessed us with a daughter that has a heart for Him, compassion for others, and a courageous and fun spirit. She is very excited about driving and all the new rhythms this season will bring. Our heart’s desire for Emma continues to be that she would love Jesus above all else. We trust that the rest will take care of itself as she runs hard after Him.

Philippians 4:19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

One of the sweet highlights of this day was a group of friends that Emma hosted for dinner, cake, and hanging out.  She put a lot of work into planning, decorating, and looking forward to this time and I think Emma and her friends really enjoyed a special evening together!

November 16 BIG DAY | Special new season for our girl. Driver’s license and a lot of new responsibility. #7000days

November 16 | ROLL TIDE | It was a perfect afternoon in Titletown to cheer on our Crimson Tide. Grateful for the opportunity to spend the day with just the Strange crew! The two young Stranges have their own Crimson Tide hopes for the future. For now…we cherish the chance to cheer for this year’s team. ROLL TIDE FOREVER! #7000days

November 18 | FIRST SIGHT | I met Clint 23 years ago today… 11/18/01. The Lord is gracious and kind. We were introduced by friends at church. Tony and @lisalynnharris_ had a party at their house for their Sunday School class. I had to arrive a bit late coming from a student ministry event, but everyone had conveniently saved a seat for me next to Clint. We started chatting and the Lord took care of the rest. In those moments, I never could have dared to dream and imagine what all the Lord had in store for those two kids. 24 years later, I’m more than grateful for what God has done! Glory to God!

November 24 | ADOPTION | In honor of yesterday’s National Adoption Day, I’d like to celebrate what a gift this guy is to our family. Eli is such a blessing and the son we prayed diligently for. He has helped us see so much more of our Heavenly Father’s love and grace towards us. It was an adventure to meet him and the journey has only gotten exponentially sweeter since then. I’m thankful for the gift of adoption as it helps us know the heart of God. #7000days

November 26 | WINSOME | If we get 1 Peter 3:8-12 right, it is more likely that we will have the opportunities that Peter speaks of in 1 Peter 3:15. As we gather with friends and family around the table this week and in the weeks ahead, may the Lord unite our hearts and attitudes to His in a way that causes us to have the chance to share the good news of the gospel.

God is faithful. He is working.

November 28 | THANKSGIVING | Not a single pic of the whole crew together. Lots of food. Several naps. Football. Family time. Emma’s first college tour @samfordu. Eli’s annual birthday trip to see the @atlantafalcons. Reading. Decorating. Resting. Knowing that these are “the good ole days.” Grateful. #7000days

November 29 | CLEAN OLD-FASHIONED HATE | When Bama isn’t playing, our crew cheers for @clintstrange32’s Alma Mater. Tonight we are also cheering on our friends @rylandgoede and @jayycruz7! Let’s Go Jackets!

November 29 | HOLIDAY PLANS? | This very responsible young lady is looking to earn some extra $$. Do you need a babysitter, a pet sitter, an extra set of hands around the house, or someone to run errands for you? Emma is saving money for upcoming mission trips, church camp, and hangout time with friends. Acworth/Kennesaw friends…she can drive to your house. Text or DM me if Emma could help you out. She’s a hard worker and loves kids!
