February 5 | WINTERFEST + Rhyme Without Reason | Happy Wednesday from Belly Flop, Mall Cop, Black Ops, Don’t Stop, and Tomahawk Chop. Pretty sure we won…right @nccsstudentlife?!! We love having fun with our students, faculty, and staff at @nccseagles!
February 5 | I truly can’t believe it’s been 7 years. I’m so grateful for the life of Kathleen Sutz. Her parents came by the school today to put flowers in the prayer garden and brought flowers to the staff. They are remarkable people and have been such a picture of the grace of God.
February 6 | WINTERFEST + Family Pictures | Today we had a blast @nccseagles dressing up with our small groups for all kinds of fun themes! My senior girls group decided to do The Wizard of Oz. Anna Matthews and I loved being The Yellow Brick Road since it’s been our joy to journey with these ladies the last four years. Small groups are a special part of our NCCS community!
February 6 | VALENTINES CABARET | Opening night was one for the books! 90’s love songs for the win! I’m so proud of the @nccseagles Academy Singers…they brought down the house. Most of the songs they did were new when I was in high school and these guys and girls took us on a fun trip down memory lane. The FAB was rockin’!
Only two shows remain: Friday at 7 and Saturday at 6, but only a limited number of tickets remain…you better snap them up fast. Well done Academy Singers! Bye Bye Bye!
February 7 | NIGHT TO SHINE | Rockin’ good time with my peeps from @nccseagles and @nsckennesaw tonight. Night to Shine is a beautiful picture of the truth of Psalm 139 and a foretaste of what I believe Heaven will be like. Great idea @timtebow! On earth as it is in Heaven. #7000days
February 8 | NCCS SADIE HAWKINS DANCE 2025 | So grateful for sweet friends and a fun night to get all dressed up. Emma, Grey, Lauren Kate, and Larkin kept us all entertained taking pictures. Friendship is truly a gift from the Lord! Pics in downtown Acworth, dinner at Longhorn, Valentine Cabaret with the Academy Singers, the Sadies Dance, and Steak and Shake made for a full and fun Saturday. These high school days are precious ones for sure! #7000days
February 16 | So grateful for an awesome Spiritual Emphasis Week at NCCS that was focused on worship. The way we worship starts with WHO we worship and WHY we worship. I’m so thankful for many friends who came and invested in our NCCS community this week through speaking and leading worship. Special thanks to Mac Powell for coming to lead worship on Friday to wrap up a really special week!
February 17 | It’s been awhile since I’ve been in the Memphis airport prior to this weekend. Wow! They have really fixed it up. Super nice and great customer service!
Our flight has been delayed. Fortunately for us, we are in no rush and our final destination is Atlanta…whenever we get there. In the meantime, a few of these folks who are super loudtalkers on their phones are keeping us entertained while we wait 😂
Eli and I are so thankful to have had a few days in Memphis to hang out with my Mom, my sister, and her family. We caught up with some friends, stayed at my Mom’s new house, and got to have a super fun Valentine’s date at CFA with Eli, my Mom, my niece, and nephews. It was restful and fun to all get to spend time together!
February 20 | AUGUSTA | We have had the best time partnering with our new friends at @warren_baptist to help out in Augusta this week. We have helped in neighborhoods that still have a lot of debris from Hurricane Helene and we’ve gotten to help out with a variety of ministries that Warren does in the community. We have certainly found kindred spirits in our new friends from this church and within our team. I’m so thankful for @nsckennesaw and the heart our church has to share the love of Christ beyond the walls of our church. I highly recommend family and friends mission trips! Love God. Love People. Live Sent.
February 26 | I’m so thankful for Joye Lee McNelis! She taught me and showed me what it meant to truly follow Jesus in all areas of your life and how to love others well. I share stories about her often and things that I learned from her. One thing that has always made Coach unique is the way she makes each person feel like they are the most important person to her. She is easy to celebrate! Well done Coach…congratulations!
February 27 | INTENTIONAL | He may be flying her to Orlando for a volleyball tournament, but I took him to a car wash and to pick up ingredients for his favorite dinner 😂 These are the days for sure! @clintstrange32 and I love when our whole family is together. That is the absolute best! A close second is when he and I get intentional one on one time with Emma and Eli. They are growing up to be some pretty cool people. We love hanging out with them! The Lord is gracious and kind to give us a front row seat to their thoughts, questions, dreams, and plans. All for His glory. Only Jesus! #7000days
February 28 | FINAL FOUR | Eli and I had a BLAST on the Final Four Fan Bus to cheer on our Eagles in the GHSA State Basketball Tournament at UNG in Dahlonega. Our guys beat Greenforest to earn their spot in the State Championship next Wednesday against Holy Innocents. Let’s Go Eagles!
