JUNE 1 | STRANGE SUMMER NIGHTS |

Dinner at home on the patio.

Golf cart to @scoopsacworth.

Cruising the streets of Acworth.

Back home for ping pong.

Long walk at sunset seeing several friends along the way.

Thank you Lord for the gift of summertime with my favorite Strange people! #7000days

JUNE 7 | TRI THE PARKS + LAKE LANIER | Loads of fun with our @tritheparks friends this weekend at Lake Lanier Olympic Park! We had almost 450 athletes participate in the triathlon and we had a blast cheering them on! Setup was hot yesterday afternoon, but Eli wisely volunteered to help with some of the lake jobs. The race itself this morning was beautiful and we even enjoyed a nice breeze! We missed our Emma who was still at church camp, but we were pumped to have our friend Emma along to help with her first tri! Clint kept us all entertained and the whole crew worked hard. We can’t wait for the next race in July…once we’ve recovered from the 285 traffic on the way home 🤪 #7000days

JUNE 10 | 20 YEARS | Thank you Lord! What a gift it continues to be to serve the students, faculty, staff, and families at @nccseagles. This year…like all the others before it…has been full of mountaintops and valleys. The highest of highs and the lowest of lows. And through it all…God has been faithful. He has been so patient and kind to us all as we continue to grow in community and a deep understanding of Acts 2 fellowship. It has been so exciting to have a front row seat to the way God is working in and through our Upper School community as we all learn and grow. I’m also thankful for summer break and the chance to rest and dream big dreams for the year ahead.

I have a lot of room to grow and I’m so thankful to be a part of a community that serves and loves one another so well.

Psalm 27:13-14 I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living! Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!

JUNE 11 | SUMMERTIME 🇺🇸 | Got the old girl all dressed for summer. Savoring the days!

JUNE 15 | HAPPY FATHER’S DAY | The first picture is from the summer of 2003. About a month before @clintstrange32 and I got married, we went on a mission trip to Poland with some precious friends. Our task was to build a playground for the community. Each afternoon, we played soccer and hung out with the kids. Clint was bummed that several of the kids did not have their own ball…so he decided he needed to fix that. Our team went to the store to get some supplies and Clint bought every soccer ball the store had…which made for an interesting bus ride back to the hotel where we were staying. To this day, he is still the hero of that village! 😂 He is an absolute kid magnet and adored by our family.

Clint was blessed to grow up with a Dad that he admired and respected and Clint is committed to pouring our kids to Jesus in all he does. He takes an interest in anything they are interested in and somehow always has plenty of time to spend with all of us. He is the same man at home as he is at work and out and about serving in a variety of capacities.

Happy Father’s Day Clint…we are your biggest fans!

Proverbs 20:7: “The righteous man walks in his integrity; His children are blessed after him.”

JUNE 16 | STRANGE SITTING | Hey Acworth/ Kennesaw friends…These two cuties would love to help you in July if you could use some help. They specialize in dog sitting, house sitting, plant sitting…they could probably even watch your Braves (or Bama) tickets for you if needed 😂 They are a pretty solid team and can work together or alone. They are both saving $$ for mission trips over fall break. Reach out if you need any help. They will be in town the whole month of July. Text or DM to work out the details.

JUNE 27 | CURAÇAO 🇨🇼 2025 | The Strange crew had a blast exploring Curacao…such a beautiful island! Any time that just the four of us can get away is an absolute treasure to me and to be able to enjoy new adventures together is the icing on the cake! The resort we stayed at was great…right on the water, plenty of place to spread out, great food, beach volleyball (for our girl), a waterpark (for the guys), SCUBA diving, and lots of beach chairs perfect for reading!

We rested, ate well, laughed, lingered around the table, explored, and tried lots of new things! The time away was a gift, but getting to come home with my favorite people is always the best! Grateful for a fun vacation!

Special thanks to our friend @afergvip for always being the best travel agent!

JUNE 28 | COUSIN CAMP 2025 | Family time is such a gift! We squeezed as much fun as possible out of 4 days with 7 adults and 8 kids who just wanted time to catch up and hangout. Cousin Camp 2025 commenced Monday morning at my sister’s house in Germantown and the fun continued until we all said our goodbyes after breakfast on Thursday. The Lord was so kind to give us such precious time together!

My mom was a remarkable single mom…often being more for us than I saw with my friends that had both parents. She went above and beyond working well into the night often to make sure we had all we needed and a good bit of what we wanted. All three of us participated in a variety of activities and somehow Mom often found her way to be in multiple places at once cheering us on! It was such a joy to watch her cherish her family all grown up and enjoying each other. I sense that these were the days she could see in the future…while she was doing laundry and other household chores late into the night as her three kids slept soundly all those years ago.

Monday was full of swimming, playing outside, and games and wrapped up with Uncle Deedle’s famous steak along with the now famous Uncle Kevin’s potatoes and asparagus…lots of questions during the prep of those sides!

Tuesday was more of the same including a great BBQ dinner at Mom’s and family pictures. Wednesday added the Three Amigos snack shack by the boy cousins, some afternoon shopping for the girls, and a dinner fiesta prepared by Emma…who employed some of us as her trusty helpers…see the nieces and nephews making corn tortillas! That evening also included the Simon’s famous slip and slide adventures for the crew!

As we all rolled out Thursday morning, I thought about what a true joy it is to enjoy friendship with my grown up siblings and their spouses and to see our kids all truly enjoying one another. The time together is never often enough or long enough…but we have learned to treasure it and to look forward to when it happens again. Cousin Camp 2025 was one for the books!

JUNE 29 | SUMMERVILLE | The Strange crew had a great time on Saturday spending the day with Clint’s mom up in Summerville. We shopped, ate, chatted, and helped with a few projects around the house. It is always so restful to be in Summerville and to catch up! Grateful for the time! #7000days
