NOVEMBER 1 | FORE SEASONS ACWORTH | Today we finally wrapped up the birthday celebrations for @clintstrange32 (July 31) and me (October 16). We wanted to find a time that we could all go play golf at @foreseasonsgc together. The Strange crew enjoyed a round at Pebble Beach together. Lots of laughter and plenty of bad shots. The prize? Time together! Highly recommend this cool new local business in Acworth! #7000days
NOVEMBER 5 | FAITH AND NATION STUDENT FORUM | Headed home grateful from a few days at the Faith and Nation Student Forum in Texas hosted by @herzog_foundation and @yaf_ . The purpose of the forum is to get a bunch of high school seniors together (cool application/interview process) to learn about and discuss things that really matter. We heard from some really incredible speakers including: @danieldimartino, Trent Horn, @scottwalker , @nickjfreitas, @officiallizwheeler, Abby Johnson, and Carrie Severino. These are some of the best and brightest Christian conservative leaders in our country and we got to hear from them and ask them questions. The conversations that followed were powerful!
I’ve enjoyed these days with 8 of our seniors from @nccseagles and look forward to seeing how this investment in their hearts and minds makes a difference in our school, our community, and ultimately in their own families and friends in the days ahead.
As we head homeward, it is with a reminder that God has called us to be courageous and bold about the things that really matter. “All it takes for evil to prevail is for good men to remain silent.”
Philippians 1:27 Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel,
NOVEMBER 8 | SAMFORD HOMECOMING | I’m so grateful for a fun girls weekend away to celebrate Homecoming at Samford. My mom met us in Birmingham for a quick, but super fun trip. Emma was so excited to hang with some of our dear @nccseagles alums and to meet some new friends. They took great care of her and gave her a great behind the scenes look at life at Samford. Taco Mama, touring campus at night with my mom, home opener basketball game for Emma, tailgates on the quad, visiting dorm rooms, homecoming on the most beautiful day, and wrapped it up shopping at the Summit and eating at Chuy’s overlooking the city. Always more alums I’d have loved to have seen…hopefully next time we can catch up! A late night getting back home for all of us, but totally worth it. Lots to pray over in the next year and a half, but Samford seems to be a strong contender for our girl’s next step. Grateful for these days! #7000days
NOVEMBER 15 | HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMMA 🩷 Our girl is truly a gift of grace to our family. She brings joy to our home and things are always more enjoyable when she’s around…especially when she is cooking, baking, or singing and playing the piano for us! Emma loves Jesus and loves time with her friends and teammates. She loves serving at church and enjoys being an Eagle. NorthStar Church and North Cobb Christian School are two of her fairite places to be! She has a clear calling on her life and is taking some courageous steps in that direction. Being a teenage girl these days is not for the faint of heart, but she is pressing on and making the most of these days.
We already see the shifts and trends towards the next season of life. It is a wistful and grateful feeling to know that God has prepared her to spread her wings. But until then, we are enjoying these days and holding her close! Happy 17th Birthday Emma, you truly are a gift to your family!
Philippians 4:19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
NOVEMBER 17 | MASTERCLASS | For my birthday my Mom got me a membership to @masterclass. She knows I love to learn and really enjoy listening to podcasts when I walk in the evenings. MasterClass is a great fit because you can watch or listen. The first class I chose was Values Driven Leadership by Coach K. I was a kid of the 90’s and a huge Duke basketball fan back then.
This class was super helpful as the focus really was stewardship. As a leader, what am I doing to ensure that those in my care are growing and becoming the leaders that they were created to be?
Coach K was great to share about things he had done well and things that hadn’t gone so well. In both cases, he learned some valuable insights that shaped him as a coach as well as the players and other coaches he was leading.
MasterClass is also a good companion for short car rides since the lessons are in small chunks…20 minutes or less in most cases. My 12 year old son listened to a few of Coach K’s lessons with me and really enjoyed it!
Now that I’ve finished the first class, I’m eager to begin another one! #LeadersAreLearners #ServantLeadership #MasterClass
NOVEMBER 18 | HEY THERE | 24 years ago today… November 18, 2001, I met this guy for the first time. Even that night, we knew that God was writing a great story. Thanks @lisalynnharris_ for making sure we met each other. Great party! And it has been an excellent adventure ever since of saying yes to the Lord together. Happy “Hey There” day to my favorite guy! @clintstrange32 is truly a gift from the Lord! 💙
NOVEMBER 27 | THANKSGIVING 2025 | One of my favorite things about my Strange people is that they are always up for an adventure! We spent Thanksgiving at Zion National Park and definitely earned our turkey. Our family started our day hiking the Narrows through some super chilly water. Eli is still thawing out! We laughed a lot and made some fun memories. After a quick lunch at a Chinese restaurant, we headed out to attempt Angel’s Landing. We didn’t make it all the way to the top, but we had a great hike with lots of beautiful views to wrap up the day.
God is gracious and kind. Today we enjoyed spending the whole day together as we were reminded of God’s goodness to us in so many ways…this week revealed through His beautiful creation in the West. #7000days
NOVEMBER 29 | THANKSGIVING OUT WEST 2025 | So thankful for precious time with the Strange crew this week for Thanksgiving break. We have a lot to be grateful for! 8 days together was a gift in so many ways.
Phoenix → Sedona → Grand Canyon → Monument Valley → Horseshoe Bend → Antelope Canyon → Zion → Vegas
We saw things we haven’t seen before and experienced them together. We laughed a lot, we worked together, we ate well, we rested well, and we made a lot of memories together. Most importantly, we were reminded afresh of the wonder and awe we are to have towards the Lord and his Creation. Feeling small is a great reminder of the glory of God!
Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. Psalm 90:2
Special thanks to our dear friend @getaways.with.sarah for her help in putting together some fun plans that maximized family time and adventure!
