FEBRUARY 2 | METRO 10 CHAMPS + UNDEFEATED SEASON | Eli and his buddies finished their NCCS Middle School basketball season undefeated and won the championship in an exciting game.  This has been a good season of growth for all of these guys! Let’s go Eagles! #7000dayas

FEBRUARY 13 | WINTERFEST + SPIRITUAL EMPHASIS WEEK | The first two weeks of February in the Upper School at NCCS are intentionally designed to give a little bit of a boost to the middle gray part of Winter.  The first week is Winterfest that includes spirit day dress and some fun activities to build community. This year we integrated “lunch games” and had a blast with bingo, trivia, a dance competition, and much more!  The evenings included cheering on our Eagles in a variety of Winter Sports.  The following week was Spiritual Emphasis Week which focused on “Building Holy Habits” looking at spiritual disciplines.  SEW wrapped up with our annual community service opportunity at all the churches in our area hosting the Tim Tebow “Night to Shine” special needs prom.  Emma and I were with the crew at NorthStar and we had a blast as always!

FEBRUARY 22 | WINTER BREAK 2026 | A few days in Memphis catching up with my mom and my sister’s family included lots of great food, rest, reading, Girl Scout cookies, prom dress shopping, projects, lunch with dear friends, family Valentine’s dinner, and fun cousin hangs. Then we headed to Corinth, MS to visit dear friends who had been impacted by the recent ice storms. Precious time around the table, working in the yard, and chatting well into the evening about the goodness of God. Home for the last part of the week meant great food, lots of rest, reading, more Girl Scout cookies, tons of outside time, basketball, baseball, Olympics, and treasured time with family and friends.

Not sure who originally invented Winter Break, but we are big fans over here! #7000days

FEBRUARY 27 | PROM-POSAL | One of Emma’s sweet friends asked her to prom.  He was so thoughtful and creative with his ask and did it in front of a lot of their friend group.  I was so grateful for a picture later in the day from another mom friend that happened to be driving through carline and noticed kids gathering in the parking lot. When she saw Emma, she thought something fun must be going on and she snapped a pic and sent it to me.  My favorite thing about the pic that it shows their friend group smiling and snapping picture and celebrating the moment.  And I’m also so grateful for the way the Lord has given us the kind of community where other parents are looking for ways to celebrate cool things for our kids.  It never fails that I get a pic or video of something from another sweet parent.  Exciting days! #7000days
