STRANGE FAMILY ADVENTURES | March 2026

MARCH 2 | TRACK | Eli participated in track during 5th grade and it was eye-opening for him.  I remember he got in the car one day after practice and exclaimed “did you know track is just running?”!  I think he felt like he had been duped!  Last year he played AAU basketball in the spring.  This year, he has grown a ton and is realizing that track could be super beneficial to his goals in football and basketball.  I credit that to Coach Martin who has taught Eli’s advanced PE class this year.  Eli can tell he is getting bigger, faster, and stronger and he wants that to continue! Eli had his first track meet and competed in the hurdles and another race.  He was EXHAUSTED, but LOVED it!  He even got his name up on the jumbotron in the top 3.  We love seeing Eli’s intrinsic motivation to grow! #7000days

MARCH 2 | FAITHFUL TEACHERS INSTITUTE | I had the privilege to visit Little Rock Christian Academy with our middle school principal and the student life folks for US and MS at NCCS.  The whole goal of our time away was to find ways to encourage and support our teachers as they live out their calling in Christian education.  It is always a joy to connect with others in Christian education and hear what they are doing at their schools and such a blast to get away with some of our NCCS teammates to dream big dreams.  I’m always encouraged by the time away and excited about what’s next at NCCS!

MARCH 5 | GOLF | Emma decided to take a break from club volleyball this spring to let her back and ankles recover a bit from several years of year-round volleyball. We suggested she find a job…she suggested that she just play a spring sport 😂 10 years ago, Coach Bollinger was trying to convince me to start a girls golf team @nccseagles, so he suggested that Emma could be my “assistant coach” so I wasn’t taking time away from her during those years. She was a blast out there and always enjoyed cheering on the “big girls.” Today, Emma had her first match as a NCCS Varsity Golfer and had a blast. The Eagles won and Emma had the low score of the match. So grateful for these days! Go Eagles! #7000days

MARCH 14 | YES 💍 | My first and best YES was to following Jesus. My second best YES was to following this man as he follows Jesus (1 Corinthians 11:1). 23 years ago today, Clint Strange asked me to be his wife. That was an easy YES then and continues to be an easy YES today. Thank you Clint for being the man of my dreams and for leading and loving our family so well as you follow Jesus and His best for our life. I love you Babe! 3.14.03

MARCH 18 | LADY EAGLES GOLF | Pretty solid Wednesday afternoon on the course. Such a blast to cheer on Emma and her @nccseagles golf teammates this season. They are working hard and having a lot of fun. After stepping back from club volleyball, this is just the change of pace our girl needed while developing some new skills with friends. I’m so grateful our school offers such awesome opportunities! Let’s Go Eagles! #7000days

MARCH 21 | JUNIOR PROM | These are the days! Emma brings so much joy to our home and her friends are such a blessing to us. Emma and Cruz had a great time at prom and were so beautiful and handsome.

Over Winter Break, we went dress shopping with my Mom and sister and it was fun to make some sweet memories together. I’m grateful that Emma and I get to share these days @nccseagles…she is very gracious! It was a fun night with a lot of dancing, laughter and friendship! #7000days

MARCH 22 | JOSIAH QUEEN | We had a blast at the Fox last night with friends as we spent the night singing, dancing, and lifting high the name of Jesus. Really enjoyed @jerviscampbell and appreciate his desire to simply sing the prayers he has been journaling to the Lord. Josiah Queen has quickly become a family favorite and last night was the second time Em and I have seen him in concert. Super impressed by a young man that loves Jesus, clearly articulates Scripture, loves his wife, and has a blast leading others in worship. Grateful for these days! And a nap to catch up this afternoon! #7000days

MARCH 28 | SAMFORD JUNIOR PREVIEW DAY | Clint and Emma had a great weekend in Birmingham for Samford’s Junior Preview Day.  They went over Friday evening and enjoyed a visit to our family favorite Taco Mama.  Emma gave Clint a tour of campus Friday evening and showed him some things her Samford friends enjoy doing.  Saturday brought the official campus tour and events..and of course some shopping!  They hit Taco Mama for a late lunch and headed home very excited about the opportunities available at Samford.  Our girl seems pretty set on their nursing program and the opportunity to continue to grow in her Spanish as she feels the Lord calling her to the mission field.  #7000days
