Today’s Reading: Matthew 22, Luke 22, Mark 1 (New American Standard Bible)

Takeaways:

  • Jesus spoke in parables so that the lesson learned would be hard to forget.
  • When I read about the Pharisees and Sadducees, I always love to think about how crazy it is that they would waste so much time questioning God.  And then…I remember that I question Him too.  Even if I am not bold enough to question Him out loud, my actions demonstrate that I don’t always trust Him the way I should.
  • The Lord’s Supper is a powerful remembrance of the price Jesus paid on the cross for me.
  • Why does it always have to be about us?
  • To read about Jesus praying in the Garden of Gesthemane in Luke 22 makes me think of Romans 5.  Jesus was willing to go to the cross even for those who hated Him.
