Today’s Reading: Daniel 6:23-24 (English Standard Version)

23 The king was overjoyed and gave orders to lift Daniel out of the den. And when Daniel was lifted from the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.

24 At the king’s command, the men who had falsely accused Daniel were brought in and thrown into the lions’ den, along with their wives and children. And before they reached the floor of the den, the lions overpowered them and crushed all their bones.

Takeaways:

  • The king was overjoyed that God had delivered Daniel.  Doesn’t that seem sort of ironic?
  • After spending a night in the lion’s den, there wasn’t even a scratch on Daniel because God had protected him.
  • I love Daniel 6:24…the tattletales got chunked into the lions’ den and all their bones were crushed…sweet victory!
  • What is the lions’ den that you are facing?
  • Do you fully trust that God will deliver you from it?
