Recipe: Grilled Pizza

First things first, thank you to my awesome little sister Katie for introducing us to grilled pizza.  She was trying to think of an alternative to hamburgers and hot dogs for the 4th of July and thought this would be fun.  Our family had a great time putting our pizzas together for the 4th. Clint, Emma, and I had a blast making grilled pizza at our house the other night.

This is a super easy recipe!

Grilled Pizza
1 Boboli pizza crust (small or large/thin crust works best)
1 jar of pizza sauce
mozarella cheese
any toppings you want (be creative…we went with pepperoni and olives, but you could use anything)

1.  use a brush to put olive oil on both sides of the pizza crust.

2.  put the pizza crust on the grill (bottom side down) on medium heat for about 7 minutes.

3.  flip the pizza crust over (top side down) and grill on medium heat for about 7 more minutes.

4.  add all of the toppings you want.

5.  put the pizza back on the grill (obviously bottom side on the grill) and close the grill.

6.  let the pizza cook as long as you like.  we like ours well done, so we left it on about 20 minutes.

7.  eat!

This is a great recipe that you can easily pull off for $10 or less and it tastes great!  The best part of this is that it is fun to put the pizzas together.  You can do large pizzas or several individual pizzas.
