Day 2 of my journey through the Bible using YouVersion.com. Our readings for today are Genesis 3-4, Psalm 3,5, and Matthew 3-4. These readings are all familiar, but it is always exciting to see how God can pull out things you have read several times and make them brand new again.
Matthew 4:19 And he said to them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
Psalm 5:4 For you are not a God who delights in wickedness; evil may not dwell with you.
Connect the verses and you realize that God wants us to follow Him so that we may become fishers of men. However, God does not delight in wickedness. If we are evil or think evil thoughts, we can’t dwell with Him. Simple truth = great reminder.
