We are so excited about the upcoming arrival of Baby Graffam.  My sister and her husband have prayed for this baby for so long and we are all so excited to meet this precious angel in just a few weeks.  They are not finding out the gender of the baby until it is born, so that will make the surprise even more fun!  Ever since we learned about Baby Graffam’s impending arrival back in the fall, Emma has been calling the baby “Hello Kitty”.  I think that is a pretty good sign as she is a HUGE Hello Kitty fan.  I am certain this means that she is already a huge fan of her cousin.  That’s pretty good considering Emma will be losing her spot as the sole child in the extended family.  She loves talking about her cousin and can’t wait to meet him/her.  Of course, she is hoping for a “her” so that they can dress alike and do all kinds of girly things.  If it is a boy, Emma said, “we will leave him outside.”  Well…there’s one solution I guess.
Over MLK weekend, we had the pleasure of heading to Memphis for the long weekend so I could get together with Katie’s longtime best friend Jennifer to throw a baby shower for my awesome little sister.  The part was a lot of fun as we reconnected with old friends and met many new ones.  It is evident that everyone who cares about Katie and JD is looking forward to this baby because they know what awesome parents they will be!  Jennifer and I split the shower duties…she did decorations and I did food.  I think everything turned out really good.  The most important thing…Katie seemed to really enjoy herself and the baby got some awesome gifts!

Here are some pictures from the shower…
