2016: Love God. Love People.

I had the privilege of ringing in the New Year last night around this table with some of the dearest friends I’ve ever had. It was a great time of real conversation, lots of laughs, and hopes for the year ahead in the midst of recognizing the way the Lord has worked in and through us through a 2015 that turned out much different than we could have ever predicted. God is good and 2016 promises to be another opportunity to draw near to Him while treasuring His Word and the community He has placed us in.

This morning I began The Comparison Trap by @sandrawstanley. Great opening verse…1 Corinthians 13:4 “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.” My prayer is that my life will be marked by that kind of LOVE this year in the way that I receive it and give it away. Like @bobgoff says “Give away love like you’re made of the stuff; we’re rehearsing to spend eternity together.” Here’s to a 2016 that is defined by running hard after Him and bring along as many other people as possible…for His glory and the good of others all for the sake of the gospel.
