October 2 GOSPEL FRIENDSHIP | What a week! What a Savior! We have been so blessed to travel this week as a part of a mission team from @cedarcrestchurch working with our new friends @timeministries in the Dominican Republic. TIME is a ministry dedicated to advancing the gospel through building chapels, door to door evangelism, VBS, encouraging pastors, partnering with communities, and much, much, more. This week has been the beginning of a beautiful gospel partnership. The Strange crew has definitely been so blessed and thankful for this opportunity the Lord gave us. There is a much bigger story to share, but the short version is that His ways are ALWAYS higher than our ways!

October 5 HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATIE | Every once in awhile, someone will ask me, “How did you end up being such an early bird?” I love getting up early in the morning because of the thoughtful training of my first roommate…my sister Katie. She was so kind in sharing our room. She always told me that I could do anything at all in our room prior to 6am…as long as I was quiet and it was dark…and then I had to be out. So, thank you Katie for helping me develop self-discipline all those years ago. Happy Birthday to my favorite little sister. I hope today includes all the things you love to do and the people you love to be with! 🎂🎉
October 7 DINNER | “Hey Buddy, we are going to grab a quick bite and then head back up to school. What would you like?”-Me

October 10 TIM CRUNK 5K | Our dear friend Tim Crunk went to be with the Lord in June 2012. He and his wife Leslie have been friends of ours for 20 years. They went on a mission trip to Haiti and their heart was captured by the need for the gospel and education in Chadirac. Their plan was to retire there and serve the Haitian people. Tim passed away suddenly and Leslie shared at his memorial “I will still be going to Haiti”. And GO she has! Over the last several years, the school has grown, a medical clinic has been built, and we’ve visited Mrs. Leslie’s Haitian home. This year was our 10th Annual Tim Crunk Memorial 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run and we had a blast celebrating Tim, raising money for Haiti, and enjoying a beautiful fall Saturday in Acworth.
What a special day with several dear friends. So cool to have our @NCCSEagles cross country team out there and to cheer on my own daughter as she ran both the 5K and the fun run.

October 15 JAMES AND SIMON | Happy 7th Birthday to the twin part of the wild man triplets! We sure do love our precious nephews/cousins! #7000days
October 16 DELIGHT IN THE LORD | This book is a great read showing how a proper understanding of the law of God can lead to delighting in Him. @jenwilkin continues to be one of my favorite writers because of the way she sticks to the truth of scripture and draws the reader to the heart of Christ. Ten Words to Live By that lead to abundant life in Christ. #discipleship #TenCommandments
October 19 HOMECOMING | Today’s Spirit Day theme is Dress Like your Favorite Teacher. Emma is Coach Steinchen, I’m Coach Sanders, and Eli is Coach Matta. We love our awesome coaches!
Crazy honored to bump into two of my awesome senior girls who dressed like me today…one is regular Mrs. Strange and one is Friday Mrs. Strange. October 24 CHURCH | Why do we make it a priority to be @cedarcrestchurch each week? Not because of anything good in us. We have trouble getting up when we are tired. We get short with each other when we are rushing to get out of the house.
Being in church is a priority for our family because we have a short memory and have to be reminded of the truth of the gospel. We need the fellowship with other believers as we study God’s word together and as we lift our voices in corporate worship. Gathering for worship launches us into the week that God has for us.
October 26 TOO LATE | Big time @braves fans snoring over here. If only they could start the games at 4pm. Our family is toast after 8:30. I’m sure Big Strange and Little Strange feel comfortable to rest with the Braves in control in game 1. #WorldSeries #GoBraves #SnoreOn
October 31 SABBATH | After a great morning @cedarcrestchurch church, our guys had fun in the yard while Emma and I made hibachi for lunch. Clint and Emma played tennis. Eli read. I napped. We watched football. Headed to have dinner and hang out with friends this evening. Perfect day as far as the Strange crew is concerned! #7000days
