Last night, our family headed out to cheer on the hometown Memphis Redbirds down at Auto Zone Park.  The Redbirds are the Triple-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals.  Since my mom is from the St. Louis area, we’ve always cheered for the Cardinals.  We were so excited when the Redbirds came to Memphis several years ago and our whole family was at the first ever Opening Day at Auto Zone Park back in 2000.  Clint, Emma, Kevin (my brother), and I headed downtown for the game and fireworks last night and had a great time.

Clint and I are of the opinion that we want Emma to have experiences more often than just collecting “stuff”.  You really can’t beat a few $10 tickets for an evening of great baseball, awesome fireworks, and pretty decent weather for a July evening in Memphis.  The Redbirds won the game and we enjoyed a really fun evening.  Emma was a blast to watch while she was watching the postgame fireworks.  I’m glad that we still have more fireworks to see tonight since she enjoyed last night so much!

Here are some pics from our fun night cheering on the Memphis Redbirds…
