Powerful and Praiseworthy

This morning God is really speaking to my heart about His power and might.  God does not have a reckless power, but a purposeful power that causes us to have no other response except for praise.

I am having such a blast reading through the Bible this year and want to share a few verses in today’s reading that are getting me fired up for the day ahead.

Psalm 29:3-4 “The voice of the Lord is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the Lord, over many waters.  The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.”

Psalm 30:4-5 “Sing praises to the Lord, O you his saints, and give thanks to his holy name.  For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime.  Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the moring.”

Psalm 30:11-12 “You have turned for me, my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent.  O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever.”
