Transition Week

This past weekend my family celebrated the wedding of my little sister. We had a great time together and couldn’t be more happy for the bride and groom. It was also nice to see so many family friends and reconnect after being gone for so long.

This coming weekend we will send my brother to Iraq with his brigade to begin his tour of duty with the ARMY in Operation: Iraqi Freedom.

This is an interesting time in our family. We have always been very close and typically all talk on the phone at least every other day just to check in or to catch up on what’s going on.

I’ve been trying to journal some this week. It’s funny to think that this week God has been screaming at me and whispering at me at the same time. I usually journal quotes and phrases, so I am just going to leave you with a few of those…

“The great use of life is to spend it on something that will outlast it.”-James Truslow Adams

“When you die, you leave behind all that you have and take with you all that you are.”-Dr. Adrian Rogers

“It is not for you to know the times or the dates that Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:7-8
