Emma: 16 months

This past Monday, Emma turned 16 months old!  The only reason I am able to sit down and write this post is because the little monkey is in the bed.  Emma is such a precious little angel!  She is walking and running everywhere she goes.  She has no fear at all and is hilarious to watch when she gets an idea in her mind.  She cannot be deterred from her mission!

Emma really likes all kinds of foods.  Tonight we picked up a pizza to watch the NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament.  Emma ate her Gerber Toddler Meal and then a whole piece of pizza!  She eats more than some of the teenage boys at my school.

Emma moved into the toddler room at school this past month.  She is really enjoying playing with the bigger kids.  For a long time, she was the only kid in her class that could walk.  Now she has friends that can keep up with her.  Her teacher told us that Emma had a hard time going on the playground because she didn’t like to walk on the woodchips.  She has conquered that and is usually the first one to head out when it is recess time.  She also takes naps with a mat now instead of a crib.  What a big girl!

I say it every month…but it continues to be true.  Emma is a precious little girl and we are having such a great time watching her go through all of these phases.  Right now she has 6 or 7 teeth all trying to come in at the same time.  It has been several days since we slept completely through the night.  But…there is no better reason to get up at night than to have a chance to try and help Emma feel better.

Check out the pictures below from the past month of our Emma adventures!
