January 5 | We have had a pretty incredible first few days in Peru with our new friends Pueblo de Niños. This has been a beautiful picture of gospel friendship. Days like this cause me to long for heaven! The stories some of these kids have…the ones who live here and the ones who came with us…remind us that true HOPE can only be found in Jesus. Glory to God!
January 6 | VILLAGE OF THE CHILDREN | We will depart tomorrow with hearts full from our time here. We have seen Psalm 27:10 on display in the most precious way. God sees you. God provides. God is faithful. He is working.
This morning we head to a new ministry location. Will you join us in praying that we can be the hands and feet of Jesus to encourage those we will be serving and serving with?

January 6 | Powerful message from my Pastor Mike Linch kicking off a series on HOPE at NorthStar. “We can understand the vastness of God when we are willing to give up our need for understanding. By trusting God, we will find the depths of His richness. Our faith is forged in the night.”
January 7 | I’m so grateful for the awesome leadership of our city officials to make sure everyone is safe and sound ahead of and during the storm. Just another reason that we LOVE Acworth!
January 11 | PERU 🇵🇪 | Spring Term 2025 is in the books. I’m so incredibly grateful for our new friends at Zone Zegura Iglesia. We loved our time at Village of the Children as well as the Life and Work Ministry Center. What a blast to get to live out God’s call to share the gospel alongside the best team and leaders from @nccseagles! It was an incredible joy to get to serve alongside my girl. I love the way she loves Jesus! Glory to God!
Philemon 1:4-7 [4] I thank my God always when I remember you in my prayers, [5] because I hear of your love and of the faith that you have toward the Lord Jesus and for all the saints, [6] and I pray that the sharing of your faith may become effective for the full knowledge of every good thing that is in us for the sake of Christ. [7] For I have derived much joy and comfort from your love, my brother, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you.
January 11 | SNOW DAY ❄️ | We don’t get a lot of snow in Georgia, but yesterday’s snow sure was an adventure! My snow day started on an overnight flight home from Peru where we landed in Atlanta which was doing a great snow globe impersonation. The flakes were beautiful! The drive home from the airport was interesting…but not too bad thanks to the mostly empty roads. The Strange kids threw on their southern snow apparel and made a tiny snowman. Who doesn’t love a good snow day?!! #7000days
January 13 | Trust God when He presents opportunities that you don’t understand at first.
// Spring Term Story // Our students participated in farming as part of their ministry in Peru. One day, they went to a potato field to help the owner, Lydia, a Peruvian farmer.
From Mrs. Strange:
“Lydia seemed really glad to see us, so I don’t think she realized we don’t do a lot of farming at home. 😉 She told us first to take off our shoes and socks. So, we took off our socks and shoes and headed into the field. We had the best time laughing, singing, and weeding!
“Despite the fun, we were unsure of our impact — until two hours later when we were back in the community doing home visits.
“Michelle, Kyiah, and I arrived at an older lady’s home with our translators. The lady spoke an Incan dialect called Quechuan, meaning anything we said had to go to our Spanish translator and then to our Quechuan translator and then back. But she was so gentle and kind, very patient.
“We could tell how proud she was for us to meet her daughter, who cares for her. Her daughter soon arrived, and it was LYDIA, whose farm we had worked! God had us weed that field so we could earn the chance to share the gospel with Lydia and her mother! Michelle then took the lead….”
From Michelle Garcia, class of 2025:
“Today I realized how blessed I am with everything God has given me through both hard and good times. During my time with Lydia, I was given the opportunity to share my testimony. I will not lie; it was difficult for me to share, but I know God was working through me and using today for a purpose.
“Lydia allowed us to walk her through the 3 Circles presentation of the gospel. The hangup for her came to asking Jesus to be the Lord of her life. She said she knows who Jesus is and believes in him, but she also practices Incan idol worship. She knows she needs to stop worshipping the idols, but she just can’t lay them down. I know many of us can understand that … even if our idols just look a little different. Lydia and her mom allowed us to pray with them. God’s light shined through Lydia today as she welcomed us and radiated His love.”

January 27 | FAMILIES MATTER TO GOD | Normally The Commons in the Upper School building @nccseagles is packed with students for lunch, chapel, hanging out at the coffeeshop, and just normal teenager stuff. It’s loud and rowdy and we love it that way! Tonight…it was PACKED wall to wall with the parents of those kids and it was a sweet time of fellowship. We started off our time in worship and we talked about the fact that God has a plan for our kids and a purpose for our families. I’m so thankful to be a part of a school where we can link arms with other families and the world’s best faculty and staff to invest in the hearts and minds of our kids to the glory of God. We chatted about classes and registration…but most of all, we focused on what a privilege it is to be raising these awesome kids to become all that God created them to be. Tonight encouraged my heart and reminded me what a special thing God is doing in and through the NCCS community! God is working. He is faithful.
