Mother’s Day 2011

Clint and Emma did an incredible job of making me feel very special on Mother’s Day.  The morning started with Clint surprising me by bringing me breakfast in bed.  If you know me, you know that I’m not one for sleeping in and I don’t usually eat breakfast.  However, this was an incredible gift because of how it all turned out.  Clint pulled out the silver serving tray, china, sterling silverware, and crystal.  I think he stayed up all night!

When Clint brought the food upstairs, Emma woke up.  She decided that she was done sleeping.  She then proceeded to eat most of the breakfast that Clint had made!  It was so perfect.  She is the reason that Mother’s Day is special to me.

After breakfast we went to church and enjoyed Sunday School and a great message out of Titus.  From there we went and had hibachi for lunch at Atami before heading home for the afternoon.  It was a great afternoon of relaxing and just spending time together.  After Emma got up from her nap, she gave me a sweet card and then she and Clint gave me a beautiful frame with pictures of me and Emma surrounded by her fingerprints.  Definitely a treasure!

I am so grateful for the opportunity that God has given me to be Emma’s mom.  I realize that it is a huge task, but an incredible privilege as well.  I’ve posted some pictures below of our fun day…
