NOT AS MAN SEES

1 Samuel 16:7 points me to the reason I love working with high school students. There is always so much more going on than you can see. God is working on us and so many of those changes have to happen from the inside out…and they take time. Sometimes the people who look the most “put together” are struggling the most on the inside…and some of the folks who are more overt about their struggles are getting closer to maturity on the inside.

I’m so thankful for the Lord’s grace and mercy to me every day in this area. God doesn’t see me for who I am, He sees me for who I am in Christ because of the righteousness of God. Asking the Lord to help this perspective give me the lens with which to view my own kids, my students, and peers…we are all just a work in progress. I’ve been shown much grace and should be the first to offer it to others.

God is faithful. He is working!
